Why ? So that other fools would chicken out by the reaction of commentators on internet and possibly by the view from aside, looking at themselves.
Imagine how many people the judges have to audition - everybody has equal rights, you cannot separate people by "i like you, pass through, i dont like you, get out".
Anyway - it's good to see, how the world is - not only beautiful, pretty, witty smart people. It's reality, bad performances show WHAT good performances are, just like without cold water there would not be hot water.
Most of the judges are impolite, and tell stuff like "you look like a man (to a woman)", just point-blank.
OK, we know it's hard to be a judge, watching 300 auditions a day, but come on - make a POLITENESS sport out of it. Find some greatness in your heart, explain the poor person (who is usually on psychological edge) what he/she could improve, or give them an example of what the judges expect.
The main idea of the show - it's great, it's just that staff and the rules are not that clear. Pity.

While I was just a boy, I remember my mom going to Norway, Oslo University to study for her degree.

And I have my personal opinion about this too - women are good at singing, dancing and anything that has charm to it - why not stay there ? When women go to army etc, it looks horrible. The same way a guy wearing makeup.

I remember when I used to be 8, parents would allow only 1 hour of stay at my friends. After one hour - home, and nothing else, otherwise - a call would instantly ring.
That hour used to be soooo long, we wouldn't last it all, and after 50 minutes I'd be marching home.
And nowadays, as I am 20...An hour passes like 10 minutes.
So here is the question...Does adrenaline make you numb over time ?
That would explain why old people have no reaction or fast reflexes in accident-like situations.
