#5 - We are not generally afraid or distanced from the average person that we would hug or touch. However, in general (not all) we are when it comes to HIV positive people. By making a display in a very gentle way, the barrier is broken and minds are changed to reduce the problem.

He kind of touched on this but… What I found most surprising when I came to the US is that Americans, despite what a lot of foreigners tend to think (loud, uneducated, arrogant) are actually amazingly wonderful caring people. I quickly learned to delineate the government and foreign-policy from individual Americans and how willing they are to give and take care of others. I'm glad to now live in a country where people are proud of what they are, for good reason!

#3 & #5: you set me up perfectly for what I wanted to say :-)
First - it may get down voted because not everyone has the same opinion - and in my opinion, that's a wonderful thing, not appaling ;-)
This guy makes a lot of broad, sweeping statements (we see life as eternal... Well I for one certainly don't!) and his cursory stroll through deep and complex philosophies is elementary. It is in essence a summary of his (young) perspective - and naturally some people (like me) would disagree; his statements don't summarize my view at all.
I have managed and been lucky enough to live a life the way I want to every day, and I love it. I made tough choices, worked really hard, and accept the compromises and services I have to provide to support the beautiful collective organism of humanity.
This video reminds me why, after a few philosophy classes, I decided to never study it academically. I love that he's thinking about things and making ores think about things though, a noble way to spend your time...which is running out!

totally agreed #2 - here's the deal - this guy "Devin Supertramp" from Utah started making these exaggerated videos of "fun" for a few years now building YouTube views (remember the big arch swing in Utah??). All his videos are exaggerated with only the most beautiful hottest people around, screaming and having more fun than they really are just for the sake of the camera. (He does have some innovative skills and makes great videos with cheap equipment).
This has earned him deals with Mountain Dew and other bigger brands… So I'm sure he doesn't care that it's partially fake and we are saying this.
Regardless it looks like a chill spot and a cool waterfall and I wouldn't mind spending a couple hours there!

What a great way to visualize exponential growth. Though, his fundamental assumption here is a constant growth rate - and for humans it's actually is not constant at all.
Generally, the better the quality of life, the slower the overall population growth rate. Europe and the US has a near zero organic population growth rate. Check out Thomas Malthus' theories if you're interested in this subject, I think it's super interesting!

Amazing maneuvering, and good point #1 - I've wanted to, but never did get a full road bike. I know how I drive in a regular car after playing GTA!
In the U.S., motorcycle crash patients (without helmets) typically run up $1.3m in direct medical costs. Fewer than a third work again. A study found that taxpayers paid for 63% of their care. Biker deaths rose 18% after Michigan repealed its all-rider helmet law in 2012. $20K insurance is required in the state, but it does not even cover the initial Intensive Care costs.
This is reckless for themselves, others on the road, and everyone's tax bill!

This is my first post - so before I say anything I want to say thanks to Snotr, I have been enjoying videos on this site and laughing at everyone's witty comments for years.
I'm a paraglider pilot and have had close calls with aircraft, but never like this. This could have been very ugly very quickly, although the tow-line does have a "weak link" right below the pilot that will break the line under stress and likely would have. I once saw a US Marines Osprey with it's massive propellers/rotors heading literally right at me at 10,000 feet, only my spirals & wingovers made him see my wing and turn, slightly. That close fly by was one of the cooler things I've seen. Another time I had a private jet fly about 500 feet right below me at speed...pretty sure that pilot never ever even saw me, was watching one of his TVs while drinking coffee or something!
