1. Why are they filming that particular guy?
2. The strike didn't seem nearly as loud as it should have been from that distance.

Commercials are as much entertainment as they are a device to sell something. There is no claim that a lenovo computer will work after being baked, it's just a funny commercial.
And seriously if your grandmother doesn't know that it's a commercial then she should get help when making a serious purchase like this.

I also find her reactions to the effect funny. I've played with effects like that before, as ridiculously, but didn't laugh at myself. The fact that she's having that much fun with something as simple as a video effect makes it funny and entertaining.
If you don't like it, that's fine. I can't expect everyone to share the same sense of humour.
At the same time, you can't possibly expect everyone to share your sense of humour, and you must believe that some people, even the mods of this site, will find the video amusing and post it.
For me, it breaks the monotony of 'epic fails'.

It reminds me a story of when I was a child, we had an old tom-cat and he was my protector.
My mom told me a story about when she left me with a friend of hers cause she and my dad wanted to go out for dinner. I was in a car seat in the living room when they left. When the babysitter tried to take me out of the seat, the cat swatted at her, drew blood and stayed by my side(the cat didnt' know this babysitter cause she was from out of town) my mom had to come back early from dinner to let the cat outside so that the babysitter could care for me.

Oh yeah. It's not a hidden camera...but they get really pissy if you hurt one of their own.
We see it as an accident; the officer laying down the spike strip got too close, and the driver swerved too hard, hitting the officer.
But the police see it as someone trying to run their buddy down.
But what they did was very wrong, and they should be removed from the force for something as serious as this.

I'm 100% convinced that this was meant to be a parody. The images at the end, where he's all burned up, is certainly not hives.
Mainly because if you compare his facial hair from before, it's a light brown. In the final images it's practically black, like it's been burnt to a crisp.
