I live in Berlin, Germany. They are building a shiny new Airport here - a job machine and prestigious object for the city. Should have been opened in June. But costs exploded and it will open in one or two years, actually. Big shame!
Point is: additional charges for the airport ( +1 billion EUR ) is half a mars mission. And 2 weeks of Olympic games in London did cost 12 billion EUR = six mars missions!
Just some numbers for you to get the relations right and talking about waste of money...

Not because it's been recorded and published in the first place, but because it's shown the context of a "funny fail compilation": in one moment you laugh because some old lady slips, in the next you witness a lethal car accident of a skater. meh.
