Root problem is two fold, government run and unions. The system (as least the US system) is designed by adults for adults. The children are just pawns and a ways to the means of lifelong employment for the adults until retirement. There are some great and good teachers, but the system overall is not customer (ie the children) focused. People have a tendency to demand more when they pay for things directly.

Never should a candidate be voted into office with less than 51% of the vote. In my local town there were about 10 candidates with the winner only receiving about 20%. There should always be a run-off between the top 2. You may still end up with the same result, but it should always come down to 2.

#14 No, alot of older American cars are not standard with ABS until recently. It was an option on the higher end cars but not your entry and mid level cars.
#17 Look again. Most of the cars are older cars and most are low end cars. The first one heading down without sliding, it's hard for me to tell, but it looks like a Subaru or something like that, all wheel drive ABS etc. The Cadillac, high end car would also have ABS, but most of the cars that crashed would not have ABS.
A lot of trucks don't have ABS either.
Not sure how an ABS equipped car would perform after going uphill, losing traction and then skidding backward downhill. Anyone know?
Yes snow rated tires are a huge asset in this type of weather and anyone that lives in areas that are routinely hit like this should buy a set, but a lot of cars now come with All Season type tires, coupled with ABS (if equipped) are more than adequate on a slight slope as this in moderate climates.

Look closely, it appears you can see it sitting on top of the dirt next to the road. That's probably why they head straight down the center of the road.
