I read somewhere not so long ago that people sneaking a free ride on trains in India often jump off and walk across the tracks when approaching a station. I think a few people died recently just like that.
I'm guessing this video might be another example of that kind of situation.

cpuomega5 - honestly...everyone else would go about their business and go to work and the dead guy would be carried away and chucked in an ambulance. 
I'm sure there are exceptions, but having been here (Tokyo) 4 years it seems to me that liability and the law here are not what we know them to be in "western" countries.

spook24 - Often on those lines the problem is that they already have trains arriving as often as the system will safely allow. In the middle of the city on some lines trains sometimes run every 2 minutes.
I live in Tokyo at the moment and I haven't seen it that bad before...maybe the trains had been delayed or something. Judging from the colour of the train might be the Chuo line, which runs right into the centre of the city.

I don't think the people in the video would ever claim it wasn't staged in some way.
1) black ball clearly curves in/rolls down hill
2) their lack of reaction shows that's what they were hoping for...if it was real they'd have gone crazy.
So I don't think screaming "fake!" really serves any purpose...it obviously is intentionally "fake", but it was still interesting.
