My girlfriend told me that this guy got in trouble for doing this. People were stopping to watch and the neighbors complained. Think they are probably just mad because he did an awesome job and it made their houses look bad.

I don't think this story is true.
This video has been done with stop-motion-animation.
Just check how they fence in the bottom of the screen twitches between frames.
Anyway, great job.
Does anyone know the name of the song?

actually it is real and yes he got in trouble. they only limited him to when he could run it not big trouble. it was everywhere late night tv, newspapers, online news. everywhere.

Awesome video, but I wouldn't like that kind of Christmas decoration. It's way too much. Not to say, the guy who did this had to go thorugh a lot of trouble... But still, I wouldn't like that kind of decorations. That's just too much. (I guess that's America for you?) Awesome video anyhow

Very nice light effects, I wonder if it was all programmed in advance or that a maestro was controlling a light control keyboard live.

I started to watch snotr regulary when there were about 1000 videos. After watching few vids I started from video number 1. I am lucky I don't need to do it now, whene there are over 4200 vids 
But his one is classic.

I'm confused..... Why are so many people saying this is the first snotr video when there is one before it? Ken Block Sno-Trax.... I thought the guy with tank treads (or whatever they were) on his truck was an awesome start to snotr..... Why so many people ignoring it?

#42 if you look at the Ken block vid you will see that it was posted 42 years ago so it is obviously a mistake. It is only about a year old. This IS the first.
