I don't think she was ready for a close encounter. Breath girl....just breath. It's going to be okay. They are smarter than you or I. They know who we are and they know what they are doing. They don't destroy for pleasure or fun. Relax and enjoy one of the greater mammals on earth.

At least the camera work is great. Well done kid. I don't know how others would react.
And of course they don't want to harm us but it's enough for its tail to bump into that kayak to roll it over or throw one in the water, especially with dad standing up. And if it is a cold day with freezing water I don't think you'd be in the mood for a swim :)

Personally this make me see how small and vulnerable we (humans) are. So tiny and insignificant out in the big blue sea, with creatures so large that made the dad and son(? maybe daughter) seem helpless and genuinely concerned for their safety.

Side Note: DAMB AMAZING FOOTAGE! Once in a lifetime opportunity.
