As I agree in this being terrible for the earth, I bet that they had a reason. Maybe now, we can save millions of lives if we ever face an earthquake this big. So in my opinion, we can't really say that they're terrible people until we now their motive.

that is soooo incredibly idiotic. "hey we are scientists. lets blow something up. lets do it on such a scale that we could call it science experiment"

if they could they would try to transform the inner earth core into a black whole. just to see what it would cause.

This happened 11/6/71 on an island.

"The blast registered a 7.0 on the Richter scale and caused a subsidence crater over a mile wide and 60 feet deep, which filled with water and became the largest lake on the island. Rockfalls, containing over 46,000 square yards of material, smothered intertidal marine life. Nearly three hundred deceased rock greenling fish were found offshore, and subsequent catches of rock sole declined substantially. The remains of over 10,000 three-spined sticklebacks and 700 Dolly Varden were found in the island’s lakes, streams, and ponds. Perhaps 1,000 sea otters were killed, their skulls fractured by the force of the blast driving their eyeballs through the bones behind their sockets. Harlequin ducks were found with their backs broken and their legs driven into their bodies by the force of the explosion."

I get a kick out of you bleeding heart people and your "oh poor planet earth, look at what we are doing to it". This planet has survived asteroid hits, plate techtonics, ice ages, volcanoes, hurricanes, typhoons, fire, and lots of other things. But we as people have this arrogance that we are somehow a threat to it. Get over yourselves. It's like on them shark shows when they say "Someday we will figure out why sharks attack humans...because we as humans are superior to all and they should know better". It's cause we are food to them in their enviroment and despite our arrogance we are not at the top of the food chain.

We are not a threat to the earth in any way, shape, or form. When she gets sick of us she will figure out a way to get rid of us.

@23 thats nature way... this however is a choice we ,mankind, made. and we do have the power to destroy the earth, and we already doing it. if you really think we r not a treat to it, then you really have a small mind.

@25 Keep drinking the Kool-Aid. You show just how brainwashed you are when you can't intelligently debate something without attempting (and failing) to insult someones mind. It's typical of people like you that can't handle a difference of opinion. You try to bully through use of personal attacks to make your point seem more viable. It also fails. In short, you are a failure.

I hear Wal Mart has a sale on Kool-Aid in aisle 9.

@27 it seems i offended you in some sort of way. you say i cant handle someone else's opinion, but it seems your the one not able to handle that.
you saying im : drinking cool-aid, brainwashed, cant intelligently debate with insulting, cant handle different opinion, bully-ing, ussing personal attacks, and a failure.
and for some sort of reason, you start about a sale for cool-aid.
it looks to me, you can only discus and verbally assault about things that has nothing to do with this topic of this particular video. why is that?

-im a marine biologist, and my team's job is to report the state of marine life and humans impact on it. i see destruction of "men" on marine life every day.that is how i formed my opinion, how did you get yours? you saw a movie on the internets?

-if we talking about earth, we are accually talking about the life on earth, its envirement. not just only the big bleu sphere that is floating around in space. ofcourse it survives impacts, tectonic plate movements etc etc. even if the earth blew up in a million pieces. it is still there, but then in a million pieces. apperently you dont see how many species died since we men took over. the amount of forest we destroyed. or water we poluted.

-and its the humans choice, wich animals survive or beeing exitnct. that alone, makes us on top of the food chain. nature is ofcourse the boss of us, but we cant eat an earthquake or a hurricane. so it is not part of the food chain.
if you dont see the destruction we cause to the earth, you sir, are blind and have indeed a small mind.......but then again, im captain obvious.

*small mind = seeing things your way without any real based facts. (so not an insult)
im curious how you wil recover from this reply >:) now back to work! and clean the cool aid i dropped in aisle 9!!!!
