1. I don't think they are making pavement, seems more like tile factory. You can see piled tiles behind them, that sand is the bed where they lay out the tiles to dry.

#2 is actualy right! In Romanina gypsis make this kind of bricks and they have the same tehnique,they lay them in the sun for drying and after that they have two opstiones either thy sell them or they harden the bricks in large ovens ..
So in conclusion that only looks like a pavement....think about it .. it would be impractical to make pavement from clay .....

#6 The link you provided describes a standard brick that measures 2.25"x4"x8". The huge bricks in this vid are at least three times that size,so maybe only 6,000 of these bricks would be needed to build your 1500 sq.ft. home. Two easy days and they would have enough!

OK numb-nuts been there done that, it is sand and cement. They are making bricks mainly for building homes, walls etc. They are not pavers or for walking on if you notice there is an indentation in the middle of the brick. This brick is not fired only clay is fired as I have worked with both media I can tell you what they are using. On a lighter note they are Sheriffs Arpaio special force to pay for tent city in Phoenix AZ.
