They can lay out all that huge cable in the UK 70 years ago but today we cannot even get a decent internet cable connection in Australia :'(

#7 God.... is your price worse than ours? I just paid £1.45 per ltr (167 euros) an hour ago in UK :(

In Poland petrol costs ~1,5 euro per ltr BUT with average income ~880 euros for person per month :(

#7, #8 around here not so bad. Average prices today 1,40 Canadian dollar a liter, approx. 1,05 Euro or 0,91£

well, you should all come to the netherlands where everything is awesome...
regular unleaded for 1,80 euro per ltr and diesel for 1,50 per ltr
also you pay from 30 to 150 euro's a month road taxes ( depending on cars weight and fuel type )
about same price for insurrance ( depending on original price and age of car)
and would you like to import a car for a neighbour country ( 30 minutes drive ) you will have to pay an additional 40 to 60 % extra taxes
