What was this guy thinking? Apparently he wanted to look cool by videotaping his jump over the rails, which almost resulted in his death.

@13: and why film a train crossing, and why walk towards the train instead, and why jump over the tracks/gravel when standing next to a RR crossing (you can hear the bells) -> it was on purpose, or fake.

i would say its real, i dont see his hand going in the track.. when he trips u can see he leaves new marks in the gravel, u can see the gravel move. he leaves a shadow on the rail, which might be what ur seeing... there is one odd thing that im not sure about, if u look at the shack in the background theres a small black dot on it that he walks infrount of. the dot disapears befor he gets to it, only slightly, could be caused by something hanging down like strings on his sweater, i could see any other evidence of covering
