I love how the exhaust pipes are glowing.
It is astonishing how much hightech is used to tame the raw power of the explosions happening in the engine.

#4 F1 engines have around 700-750hp I doubt that you got an engine with less than 1hp...
(1% would be ~7-7.5hp)

#3 those v6 engines will have a turbo though :D

I would say (judging on previous turbo f1 cars) they are going to sound better, not as high pitch ear piercing

#6 a german car magazin had a exclusive look at the new engines. They wrote, that we will miss the V8 sound like we miss the old V10. The new F1 cars will be more than 2s slower than the old ones too...

F1 "only" consumes about 50 liters per 100km.. 2014 Turbos are gonna sound awesome, the turbo revs over 20000RPM (around 100k...) so it's main sound is not heard by humanears leaving the engine sound more pristine.. With less revs and more intake manifold pressure... It's gonna be sweet. Too bad we won't hear the traditional turbo blowback valve sound, they are gonna reuse that pressure to keep the turbo flowing on up/downshifts, not to mention there's gonna be almost zero turbo lag as the whole thing is attached to an electric motor/generator that can pre-spin the turbo on low revs..
