I like the fact that we have to wait for it. Nature can be scary and it's amazing to be able to film right at the moment. Peaceful at the beginning and then fullpower for the nature.

Wow, that was unexpected! Mental note, always watch upstream when messing about in a river or stream, heh

I wonder if this is not nature and man-made. Releasing of a dam or something...

Anyone have the story behind this?

I'm pretty sure this was a controlled dam release which is why the cameraman was prepared to film this.

It looks more like dam opening to me. People were waiting for it, there was normal river and two seconds later there was hell. Floods from heavy rains doesn't escalate so quickly. And I never saw so many similar and wet looking toothpicks in such a small river. Looks more like wood accumulated in dam. Also at the end of video there is just water and no more wood.

#18 Agreed that this one looks artificial but it can also happen with a natural buildup of wood and really bad weather as in here: http://www.eturbonews.com/3038/three-german-tourists-drown-while-canyoning-f
I know it because I talked with a local guide after the accident.

It kinda looks like man-made. Maybe they're using water stream to carry woods.
