For those that do not know the* Right* valve is the inlet and the mist you see is fuel then it gets ignited as the piston comes up and on the down stroke the exhaust valve on the left opens to let the gasses out

#2 The intake is on the right not on the left.

#6 Not quite the same..
a diesel just sucks in fresh air (not air fuel mixture) the cylinder is compressed causing the air to heat up (helped by a glow plug in a cold engine) and then fuel is injected into a swirl chamber under high pressure which then self ignites...
Would be nice to see the difference...

#1 My guess is that this is a two stroke engine, not a four stroke, which does what you explained

i agree with #3. if the intake would be on the left, means that it will be another boom vwhen it opens because there are still flames on the head of the piston. Tha fuel and air comes in when the right valve is open, and pushes down thecylinder, the he rises rises an compres the air and fuel, then the sparkplug makes the spark and ignites the fuel, the cilinder is pushed down, when the piston ghets down, the left valve opens to permit the evacuation of the gases.
I would say that this a scooter motor, because the spark plug seams a litle big in comparison with the valves and the cylinders head, and is a 2 time piston

#13 Indirect injection doesn't draw in fuel mixture? it's just injected into a swirl chamber as opposed to straight into the cylinder...

When 2 dudes disagree about engines, they should fight. That's the way it's always been. (kidding)

isn't there another stroke to expel the exhaust gasses...? It doesn't show the full cycle.
Still interesting though.. I wonder how they filmed it..?
Now find a video of a diesel...
