Reminds me of a similar application I've seen used in skyscrapers. Some very tall buildings have giant pendulums near the top to offset the swaying caused by wind and seismic activity. Possibly a future video idea for Snotr.

I thought this was something relatively new (like last decade). Turns out i know very little about bigger ships and the ballast systems. But hey, we never get to old to learn, do we? :)
