I love this guy. I saw him once in a conference.
He presented himself as "lead developper for microsoft windows" <pause, strange look from the communication guy to the left> "oh yes, i do some stuff about the company too but that's not funny to tell"
Everyone laughed, he made a very interesting speech about building ideas to products and he answered almost all the questions.
A very human person

#3 Maybe he's slowly learning to be a "human" person. There was a point in his career where he was a very ruthless and corrupt person.

Actually, it was the best decision they could have made. You DEFINITELY don't want a single button to reboot or suspend the computer. You don't want to accidentally set it off. It's like some keyboards (mostly in schools) had some buttons next to the cursors that did shutdown/hibernate/suspend in a single stroke. They had to be taped over (after a few rage and desperation episodes). Sensitive and rarely used commands are better kept protected, like that flap over the Big Red Button.
I consider the worst decision the menu key next to the right ctrl. What a waste of space! It's a window/menu action that has nothing to do with typing. And it's very specific too: why don't other, more heavily used window actions, have their own keys? I'd much rather have another modifier and get more symbols out of my keyboard.

#2. FYI the Mac v PC war was won by the PC many years ago.
Basically here's the situation:
People buy a PC because it's non-proprietary, reasonably priced, can draw on a colossal amount of compatible hardware for repairs, replacements and upgrades, and is supported by a wealth of software.
People buy a Mac because it's pretty and shiny and the Apple marketing machine tells them to.
