lolz. Well in some sense i agree with #6 since it makes video playable. XD

Even if it is just forward and backward, it is kinda fun and it is better than the just play and pause.

You would have forward and backward depending on the direction dragged. I wonder how are they going to deal with repeated motions though.

What's so amazing? It just has a scrolling feature enabled on the screen. You can click anywhere on the screen move your mouse back and forth and it will ff/rewind the playback. It just looks cool because they happen to click on the certain object. Boring...
