Thanks for this video, I thought I knew more than I did, never seen or heard about many of those fruits.

Unusual fruit I never knew existed? That's a little presumptuous. I have 3 of these growing in my back yard and the rest I can get at my local Farmers Market.

Of course we don't know them. They are exotic and looks too weird for us to import. But imo some of them look delicious though :D

Manilkara zapota looks very similar to my favorite fruit in the whole wide world - if you have a change try it -- Mamey Sapote. (Outside South and Central America they grow it in Florida)
Tried it in Costa Rica. Tastes like Russian honey cake - internet knows it as medovik.

Most of the fruits can also be found in the Philippines... probably brought by people on their way to Spice Island (Malacca) about hundreds of years ago...

Here are the local names:
1. Guava - bayabas
2. Hog Plum - sinegwelas
3. Caimito - also kaimito
4. Naranjilla - we dont have that here
5. Maracuya - passion fruit
6. Granadilla - i dont know the actual name here but we have the small variety of this.. they usually grow in the wild
7. Nespero - chiko
8. Noni - also noni
