The number of pixels in the array of screens is pretty much the least impressive thing one learns in this video.

Quarter billion pixels would be 128 displays at 1080. To bad they didn't upgrade the displays to 4K :). First time poster, long time viewer.

Why did they cut up the video mid-sentence? It's so frustrating to not be able to hear what he wanted to tell us... off to find the full version.

Might be a stupid question, but why couldn't they transfer this to one big screen without having to look through 128 stupid black squares. :S

#3 What was the point in that? And I can't believe that nobody called you out on that! Why isn't there an Admin comment here?

#7 I don't think anyone manufactures screens that big, it would have to be made to order (and at this size, there may be mechanical stress problems in the panels and back board, not to mention the cost when it needs to be replaced - replacing one screen is much easier). That would still be ok for NASA, but the next problem is there are no existing cables and connectors to plug it in, so it would still need to be a great bunch of video cards with individual connectors. So you have a mosaic of little screens - still, they could remove the frames and put them closer together, but the point is you are looking for a display device to see the data, not for a flawless image.
