Ludwig Van Beethoven

Ludvig Van Beethoven actually intended for his pieces to be played a lot faster but no orchestra could manage it so they had to slow it down. Here is moonlight sonata 3rd movement played in the original intended tempo. Simply amazing.

Recording in Beethovensaal, Hannover Germany, Dec 2009. Wilhelm Kempff recorded Beethoven cycle in the very same hall.

From someone who avoids classical music like the plague, this was beautiful, got a weird high off it. Now I'll go wash the stench of aristocracy off my ears, but after I replay it a couple of times :)

Man takes son to a piano teacher "Okay I'll pay £20 an hour but how do I know you're any good" 7 minutes later man says to Valentina "Like I said I'll pay £200 an hour I'll pick him up at six. >:)

What do you mean by: No orchestra managed to play it that fast? It is a solo piano sonata, no orchestra involved at all. And there are other recordings which are as fast as this one. So nothing uncommon here.
