Don't forget this bomb ended a war and was one of the few reasons there wasn't any major war between the big states ever since.

#6 Yes, it was crucial in ending WWII in the Pacific. But I have yet to see a convincing argument that they needed to be dropped on inhabited cities to do it. Telling the Japanese, "Go here on this date at this time," then dropping the bomb on an empty desert somewhere, would have sent the message quite clearly.

Don't even try to understand what is going on in people.

On the 28.06.1914 WW1 started with the murder of the austrian prince was murdered. What only very few people know that on the 28.06.1389 the leader of another empire was murdered by a serbian, Murad I, sultan of the Osman Empire.

It is all about the propaganda. People remembered for 500 years and another 100 years later muslimic Bosnians were killed in Srebrenica, because of their "deceipt" 600 years earlier, when you could save yourself by changing your belief.

In America during the 3 years of war there was quite a bit of hatred built up against the japanese, that as hard as this may sound it needed such a disaster to make people forget - Not the event of Pearl Harbour, but the propaganda the media had made out of it.

How can you repay your soul back after pushing the button and seeing this.

#6 That's a myth to reduce the guilt. This war was ended by the russians too and not the fierce atomic bomb. The Japanese high command had already taken the decision to surrender to the Americans when the news of the atomic bombing reached them and they had taken that decision when they got the information that USSR forces were shifting towards the eastern front (pacific).

After the tens of thousands of Chinese civilians that were raped, tortured, mutilated and beheaded by the Imperial Japanese Army, and the huge loss of life by the US military and its Allies, I feel no remorse over the dropping of the bombs. That alone ended the war in the Pacific. The Japanese Emperor refused to surrender even after the first bomb was dropped.

Not quite right. Japan had already surrendered when they dropped the bombs. So in other words, they dropped the bombs on a country that they were not in war with, and mostly on civilians.
Though the reason they did it was because of Pearl Harbor, you could argue wether thats right or wrong. I still find this too fucking disgusting.

I see no difference between dropping the bombs on Japan to help end the war in the Pacific , and the English fire bombing cities in Germany to kill civilians , or the Germans bombing London,Liverpool and other English civilian targets. All of them caused hundreds of thousands of civilian deaths and injuries.
If Hitler had been able to complete his work on an atomic weapon , or if Stalin had one,they would have used them to conquer all of Europe.

Japan was trying to surrender thought the Soviets, but with their own conditions. They had been trying this for quite some time, and we knew it since we had cracked their code. The conditions were that they keep for example Korea, Taiwan and many other places they occupied "before the war", i.e. before they attacked the US or the Soviets.

The conditions were unacceptable , for obvious reasons. "Ok, we loose, but only if we get to keep everything, the army, the land, and can get away with starting all this without consequences?" Yeahhhh, no.

We demanded unconditional surrender. They refused. We dropped Little Boy on then. We then gave them 3 days before dumping 'Fat Man' on them. It was that night on August 9th that they began the process of unconditional surrender. They could have done this on the night of August 6th when we dropped the first one, but deliberatley chose not to.

Those are the facts. Interpret them as you will.

All killing of other humans is unnatural and wrong. But this, this is just PURE FUCKING EVIL.
