This happened in Brasil, Bertioga - SP. Marcelo dos Santos is the firefighter's name. I Couldn't find any further information.

#5 My guess is that they must have been all packed together in a raft. The raft drifted farther than what they could swim. Then, a wave knocked them all off and the raft floated away even farther away.

Why was this a firefighter and not a professional life guard? Kinda makes it more interesting to hear the whole story behind it when this supposedly is a firefighter on a jet-ski instead of a life guard on a jet-ski..
