#2 Like what exactly? Regular use reduces your memory, but in the case of the girl with epilepsy in this video this is an insignificant price to pay to not have your brain overload every 15 min...
It's common knowledge that weed is not nearly as bad as alcohol or cigarettes, which is why it's being illegalized in more and more countries.

#2 All medicine hurts you if you take too much.
Cannabis was officially not illegal because of his containing THC, but there were big companies growing cotton. They saw Hemp was disturbing and taking over the market. Because it grows in almost every climate it was a mayor threat. They tried to find out ways, to make all hemp plants illegal and took advanage of the ones containing THC. And they succeeded.

sorry, just read any article about all forms of Cannaboids, there is CBa Cbb Cbc Cbd,....they are all in marijuana to a certain extent and like most drugs they are chemicals that your brain is acustomed to, but in a really low dosage. So if you flood your brain with it you get side effects.
being high is one side effect, being hungry is another, laughing at stupid stuff is another, and so on...
cannaboids are a universal trigger, which means they can have an effect on each and every region of the brain, most of which we still have no idea how it works. Sure some of these effects might have healing properties, but as recent long term studies show there is immense negative effects on long term users.
Short term effects seem pretty harmless, but short term effects of eating a quicksilver infested tuna are pretty harmless too. Me, i want to know what i'm intoxicating my body with and i don't trust people telling me that some illegal drug is harmless, but hey, thats just me.

#1 A friend of my mum had a hemp farm (only male plants) and made clothing and other stuff from it..also made bread and beer with hemp seeds..very good. Also hold an annual hemp fest on his farm..pretty sure there was female plants involved also =P
Ironically the farm burned down..but it was an electrical fail..not a forgotten joint (i hope)

I totally agree that medical application of cannabis can be something great that helps many people.
We shouldn't forget that it also has some drawbacks when it is not for medical purpose. For teens smoking pot on a regular basis, it can lead to bad effects (difficulties in learning, poor problem solving skills, loss of coordination...).

Let's acknowledge its good effects. The problem is that people who use it ignore the fact that it has addictive properties and they are hard to come off from. They usually say that if taken moderately is fine but they use it in the excessive manner as any other additive consumptives like alcohol and tabaco.
