That banana still wasn't ripe. It will still be too starchy and bland until the peel is covered in brown spots.

#1 Most of the people are throwing the bananas with brown spots in the trash can and they think that they are rotten. Most of the people don't know that the bananas are not ripe until they get brown spots on them.

Scrubbing is precisely why that cast iron skillet rusted in the first place; a properly seasoned piece of cast iron cookware would not rust like that. They should only be wiped clean with a warm moist cloth only and NEVER see the inside of a dishwasher.
