I was fully expecting the kid to slide the door shut and lock him out, then watch him trying to talk with the kid to open it...just as it started to rain. Just a word of advice to all dad's and potential dad's out there...Arguing with a kid is pointless...invoking their self interest (like getting an Ice cream ) gives you waaaay more leverage.

I used to do this all the time with my son when he was 15 months old. He's 15 years old now, and I rarely get more than two words out of him per day.
