#3 Having fun of course. So sad that you can't figure it out, your life must be super boring...

#4 :( I meant is there something to make out of it apart of potentially mess up with all the electronic parts you have at home. Like a perpetual machinery or a fun robot. Or is it just for collection.
I'm sure there is more to do with a $630 magnet than looking piece of metal flying at it. But I can't figure how.
For me it looks like you've bought a domino box and you put them on the ground and think it would be fun if you could make something out of it.
For now I just prefer spend those $ on helping children or any helping foundation.

#4 & #5 can you justify everything you spend money on? Really? Could you pass your own subjective evaluation / test? Perhaps this man is just an independent MRI repair man? or just an odd fellow - no harm no foul IMHO

#3 & #4 & #5
so, I was only curious about the price...

everyone should decide what to buy with his money. i would not buy a neodymium magnet for this kind of money. but i also would not buy an iPhone or spend so much money for one weekend heavy drinking at bars (or would I?)...

#3 In the case of the guy in the video (as he stated in another video) its is just for experimenting/fun/collecting magnets.
This is his channel..maybe that answers a question or two
www.youtube.com/user/brainiac75
But the why is irrelevant..maybe you are a MRI Repair guy..maybe you are scientist and ordered it for the lab..or you just want one because an almost 6kg neodymmagnet is damn cool.
(You know what they say.. "I dont know what its for..but i want one.." )

And this vid made him even more sympathic for me
