Never...and I do mean NEVER wear a check shirt with a suit! If you MUST then make sure you have a plain coloured tie to go with it....I mean...stripes AND checks? omg nooooooooo! Sorry...I worked in menswear for years!

If you really want to make the best of yourself and your wardrobe...get hold a book called "Dress for success" by John T Molloy. Ok...he's American, so some of the things he suggests would make a lot of Brits weep...but there's a lot of very good info there.

Guess what? This goes up for any clothing you buy. Also, the guy on the right has a more attractive body shape
