The toxicologist is also interviewed in another video about Steve Irwin, he was on one of the boats that was following him when he died. It was quite a nice interview, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twyoQ8LWatU

Is it normal for a fish to be so calm when experimented on at land? And for so long?

#4 thanks, makes more sense when I listen to what they have to say. I hope they can find a medical use for that venom.

#2 you're right, very good interview. Thanks!

#8 when England moved their convicts there what better way to keep them contained. >:) Kidding, but yea, pretty amazing how they're so concentrated near one area like that.

Saw a 5/6 yr old kid stand on one of these at Tannum Sands, Qld, back in the 70's. Foot down, scream, dead before he hit the water. I'll never, ever, ever, forget that scream. Very very scarey things, stonefish.

Can't stand this guy and I don't know why, he's just too nicey nicey bordering on sickly for my taste, probably a Churchy. Stone fish very interesting.
