I am glad that they put the explosives so deep that the debris don't fly all over the place. Is it normal for the electricity sound to be that loud?

You're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!! Like how the traffic cones only wobbled but didn't fall over on the pavement removal bit, that's controlled explosions for you. Although I'm sure the tree that came down in the last section had a preservation order on it >:)

#1 they use explosive detonation cables(like a fuse), that's why it make that noise. They never store the two in the same place.
