I'm not saying animals are not intelligent, I know they are, but this seems like chance. They just fly around the sensor and the door happens to open. Birds fly near the ceiling in an enclosed space... as it happens that's where the sensor is located.

Maybe they will learn that if they fly near the door long enough it will open, but that's something else.

#5 That's such a meaningless broad statement. If they solve a puzzle with 3+ objectives like crows, I'll be all ears. This is just one simple action and reaction system. No interlinked objects or tasks with multiple qualifiers etc.

I have seen videos of people that can't get it right. So dose that mean they are dumber then a bird.

Sensor reacts to objects moving near to it by opening the door.

Birds previously accessed building through open doorway, still attempt to fly into the building the same way, but doorway obstructs them.

Nevertheless they continue to attempt access and eventually their flying causes sensor to open door.

Birds fly through open doorway as before.

Not a sign of intelligence, more an indication of stubbornness and stupidity.
