Such a nice presentation. Even though I learnt all of these things in high school but somehow never pictured the mechanism so clearly until I watched it here.

We had an electrician in my high school who used to do this to entertain the students. He was touching the high voltage cables while standing on a thick rubber insulation (as in 4-5 cm thick) Years after i finished high school i heard he had died doing that trick. Apparently something went horribly wrong and his body made contact with the ground. :'(
No idea what was the voltage of the box he was always fiddling with but it was the main one that the whole school was getting electricity from so i guess.. a lot..

Cool teacher....I was lucky to have one like him when I was at school...( back in the dark ages). he was probably the most popular teacher we had.
