If he had been thinking out of the box, he would have designed them as a vaporizer instead. Smoking isn't something you wan't to promote, even if it's only the occasional pipe. And i wouldn't promote vapor usage either, but if you really have to smoke something, at least do as little as possible and the "safest" option (which is today vapor, until some nasty research shows different in 10 years)

Definitely cringe worthy. Did he make this video for his mom?

Calling yourself an artisan reeks of entitlement.

Ugh.

I've never smoked, and I abhor the habit, which to my eyes reeks only of damaged personalities. With the knowledge we have today of the damage tobacco causes, there is no excuse for this filthy practice.
Nevertheless, I enjoy watching craftsmen at work and seeing the pride and pleasure that they have in the finished product. Although I detest the intended use, the pipes themselves are works of beauty.

#10 Thanks. :)
I can take criticism on many/most of my comments, but on this one... a person who downvotes comments which emphasise health dangers while commenting positively on the subject of the video is not a person whose opinion I value. I have no fear. :)

FROM HIS WEBSITE

Prices are broad in range. High grade pipes require a great deal of knowledge, tooling, and experience to construct. A simple elegant black sandblasted pipe generally starts at $650. Smooth pipes are priced from $1000 and may be priced $2000 and up for the finest and rarest examples of my work.

#13 He's really proud of himself, huh?

Guess some of his goons got loose on snotr and decided they didn't like what some people had to say about such a pandering display of "look at how good I am at this". Again, ugh.

#13 Unless it's made from moon rocks...$2000 for a handmade pipe is insanity, but more power to him if he has customers paying that. I think I need to find a new line of work.

Here are many of his works of art from a tobacco website.
I have never been any kind of smoker but I do appreciate
fine craftsmanship.

#16 Agreed..im a smoker and i know its not healthly but thats my problem..these pipes however are some kind of art. You dont have to smoke to collect pipes. Some people collect watches that are worth some peoples decades sallery..they just show you the time..like my microwave =P
If they wouldnt be that expensive i sure would have some on my shelve
