I really like this type of video but this one is many years old. The Veyron lost the top speed crown to the SSC Aero and then took it back with the newer Veyron Supersport and now has lost it again to the Hennessy Venom.......whew.

"kinda the slowest of the bunch; but that's alright 'cause it sounds the best...." Sounds like a Ford Mustang commercial.

Now put a S1000RR in the mix, just to put them in their place. :))

#3 How about changing the differential gear ratio on the cars to run a shorter distance
but with better acceleration? That should make quite a difference.
Plus...can the bike accelerate as good in the rain? Those AWD cars pretty much can.
Just saying....different vehicles for different uses.

Of course it's an apple vs oranges comparison but still they both run wheels on the road and are made for similar purposes. I didn't put any Hayabusa turbo that would just blow the veyron out of the water even after it tops out at 400km/h going all the way to 450km/h :P

I'm talking stock. The RR only does 300km/h, but on a 1L engine, that is amazing. :D

I put it there just for diversity... I don't know how expensive a Veyron is but the RR is 20K maybe, the fun/price ratio is insane! :)

i don't think hennessey venom ever got the fastest car title. the car was the fastest but it was not tested properly and in any event, only a handful were produced so the car is not qualified to get the title.

#8 The Hennessey Venom GT was verified going 270.49 mph at the Kennedy Space Center on 2/14/2014, which bested the Veyron Super Sport by 0.63 mph.The Guiness title requires a return run to be made to be awarded the Guiness title but NASA would not give them the runway time needed to make another run, which they wanted to do. The Venom was still accelerating at 1 mph/second when the driver had to get on the brakes hard to keep from going off the end of the runway. It probably would have hit 280 mph. They really need to run on the track where the Veyron set their record , but there's a reason why they can't prove the car's capabilities at the Ehra-Lessien oval, and that reason is Volkswagen. Hennessey is only building 29 Venoms for now and Guiness requires 30 to be built to meet their criteria , so maybe one or two more will be built.
Bugatti only built 30 of their 16.4 Super Sport editions ,by the way. That is the only model that can reach the record speed, but only on the Volkswagen super long test track.
