I wouldn't really call a letter describing Hitlers assassinion a "Doomsday Letter", "Doomsday scenario" or a "disaster"

I would not really call the nuclear bomb an abuse of technology... I will however condemn the use of such device on fellow human beings! If we get invaded by aliens on the other hand I would be happy to have nuclear capability.

#4 I actually have a gaming PC, I'm a 27 year old IT guy. And I am also smart enough to know we can't possibly be the only intelligent civilization in the universe. So yeah, glad we have nukes, I just hate that we use them on our own kind.

#5 It seems if someone invents something awesome, It is the army the first one to use it. Imagine if someone invents a 'zero gravity' module. Would it be used for the people of the world and cheap transport immediatly ?, or would it be stolen by the military, and kept a secret for about 50 years..

#2 Of course it is an abuse. Just like steel should have been used for tools instead of swords.
WMD's are a desperate measure made explicitly because people wanted to reign supreme.
Do you think a species capable of interstellar travel would come unprepared for nuclear weapons? An attack on them would be like firing arrows at battle tanks.
