Fastest street legal car in the world
Larry Larson of Larson Race Cars now holds the title of builder and driver of the World's Quickest Street Legal Car. His 1998 Chevy S-10 ran 6.16-seconds at 219 mph at Tulsa Raceway Park in Tulsa, Oklahoma, United States on September 13, 2014 during the HOT ROD Drag Week 2014 Heads-Up Challenge.

The Bugatti Veyron has a top Speed of 431 km/h which is 267.81 mph so thhis heap of junk can't be the fastest street legal car.

Pretty damn cool!...But not much use on the M25! ( its pretty much a permanent car park).

The question had always been what constitutes the fastest street legal drag racing car, so Hotrod magazine started this event to give racers the chance to prove themselves.
By the rules the cars are raced at four different tracks over a five day period that are hundreds of miles apart and they must be driven to all the tracks, no trailering allowed and no crew help. The racer 's 1/4 mile times are recorded and the car with the quickest average time is declared the champ. That is what makes this such a big deal to drag racers and fans.
