1550 foot pounds of torque ! He could turn this car into a farm tractor and pull a 10 bottom plow!
I love this kind of engineering, and the guys who do it really get a lot of satisfaction from their creation.
Reminds me of this other project car using a Rolls Royce Merlin engine.

#2 yes it has the torque to do it but with the current gearing it wouldn't be able to pull much.

I must say that he has guts. If he want to drive 200mp/h in that car which isn't all that aerodynamic and looks a bit old and not at all like it's able to handle that speed then i wish him good luck. And i think he's gonna need it. But a very interesting project.

#4 You notice I said he could "turn this car into a farm tractor " which by definition would involve tractor tires, three-point hitch, and maybe even a gearing change. Don't over-think this, I was just remarking on the huge torque numbers this car has. :)

#5 Yes i know and i'm not overthinking it. Being a farm boy myself i just felt the need to clarify, for those who might just look at the torque number that it doesn't necessarily mean that it could pull the same as a tractor with the same torque. However i still think that we are pretty far from being able to "turn this car into a farm tractor" if you had to put tractor tires on, hitch, gear change, hydraulics. You could use the engine in a tractor however. Well what do you know...i did overthink it anyway :)
