Larger than what?? I have a feeling that the lighthouse keeper isn't too troubled about "Right of Way", specially as he isn't going anywhere. :|

Still, I remember a newspaper article that roamed the Internet a lot of years ago that told this exact story (not sure about the name of the ship though).. >:)

#(removed comment) how could anyone think that it is not a joke video, do you think the navy would film themselves while failing and then put it on tv?

@1 ... "typical american..." ?????
Smoking too much weed huuuh!!! And the ship in the vid is a small one, would guess in the size of a destroyer. Just look at the gun and the radar of this ship, obious that its a smaller one. And the story has been around in many forms since before WWII. Seen the story in older publications dated way back in the 60's. But it's realy a funny vid - got myself a rofl. :D :D

?? Oldfart?? Sorry but I didn't have any point aimed at you :) :) I was aiming at number 1 "jocksweed" ... and you are at number 7. Perhaps you need some new glasses? ... Sorry - just kidding. But to be serious - your'e writing about USS Montana is a good one. Your'e way of writing makes me believe your'e a serious person and far from that type that would use anything like "weed" or like. Have a good one Oldfart - all the best for you! :) :) :)

I guess that lighthouse got blasted, since the USS Montana wasn't about to move.

Its a joke, man some of you are really stupid!
http://www.snopes.com/military/lighthouse.asp
It was even in a book back in 1939. Also most ships come with radar and loran which show you what is around and where you are on the map, let alone navagators are taught to navigate with a f'ing map.

I have this on my computer from a while ago but here they clipped the ending. its a commercial for some Dutch something or other company (I think, unless I'm mistaken - to be honest I'm not too brushed up on the languages of the region, but it's definitely Scandinavian or Danish or Dutch).

But to go talking semantics, why can't they fucking compromise and say 7.5 degrees (one north the other south) instead of ignorantly bullying the world as america always does?

Well? + ? + ? and something more ... sorry! Am to ignorant to recognize what the f - ck it was ... >:) Compromise? Making the lighthouse adjusting 7.5 degrees?
Yeahhh!!!! Brilliant idea!!!! And why can't we have huge mountains like standing upside down? Making it easier to travel around them. And much easier to reach the top of them too ... etc etc.... Think about it - Mount Everest would be in reach of all and every1! Just take the car and have a nice ride over, bring the picnic basket with.... Oooohh!! Its easy to come up with stupid ideas.... >:) >:) >:)
