does not seem to be a problem for the crew, good! Maybe the engine was not able to handle swiss german language...

Its a hard job. Those checklists are a pain when things really get out of hand quick and every light is blinking, but this was a "routine" problem.

I'm sorry to have to do this but this requires subtitles for like 90% of the population of the world https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rEf35NtlBLg

#4 most Germans will need subtitles too. That's why on the joined TV station '3sat' (Austrian, Swiss and German stations provide and produce their program) they DO have subtitles when broadcasting the news from Switzerland.

I like that they did dump 53 ton of fuel (fuel jettison) over the place where i live... :) I know it is a emergency but still..

I remeber 10 years ago, when i was in the Swiss army. we did some ground training near Kloten (the place where they did the emergency landing). there was and still is a big natural reserve area near the Zurich Airport. Several people got bitten by normal mosquitoes and got quicksilver poisoning from them, beacuse of the tons of jet fuel that where jettisoned every day over the natural reserve area.

Bud if you did lose a shell (cartridges) in that area, ore did not pick it up after a training weapon test. you where in serious trouple beacuse it was a natural reserve...

Nothing much to say exept that -> ;)

"By the time we are ready to settle even the nearest of planetary systems, we will have changed. The simple passage of so many generations will have changed us. Necessity will have changed us. We’re an adaptable species. It will not be we who reach Alpha Centauri and the other nearby stars. It will be a species very much like us. But with more of our strengths and fewer of our weaknesses. More confident, far-seeing, capable and prudent. For all of our failings, despite our limitations and fallibilities, we humans are capable of greatness."

#6 Maybe our kids generation will invent a way to jettison fuel tanks with parachutes, instead of dumping raw fuel.

What I am seeing is that three crew members, have there heads down and no one is truly whatching, flying the plane. From my cousin who is a pilot, I know that there must always 1 set off eyes looking forward and watching the instruments. Even if the autopilot is activated.

On Wed I was flying into Atlanta Int. Airport. I was trying to remember if I had ever been to the Atlanta airport. Then it dawned on me when I was 8 yrs old we were flying from Florida to Kansas City when our plane had an engine failure and we had to make an emergency landing in Atlanta. Needless to say the rest of the flight I was just a wee bit nervous. LOL!!
