He's already broken his back/neck whats the worst that could happen. Good to see a disability not holding him back.

#7, 8 & 9 Sorry but those are all misconceptions. Aaron is not totally paralyzed and he still can get hurt even worse. He appears to be paralyzed from the knees down with maybe some nerve damage to the nerves of the thighs. However, his hip flexors and glutes seem to have good innervation. Based on that I would guess that his saccrum was damaged but his lumbar spine is fine. His lumbar and thoracic spine is pretty well protected by being strapped into a wheel chair but if he lands on his head or neck he can still damage his neck and loose use of his arms on down.

Disability is not an all or none proposition. For example according to the National Federation of the Blind you don't have to be totally blind to be "legally blind." Many blind people still see some thing. Many deaf people can still hear a little. Damage to the spine can paralyze from the knees down, or the waist down, or the ribs down, or the neck down, and every grade in between. When somebody is really dumb we can joke that they are paralyzed from the neck up but despite some very funny videos that isn't possible.

That said Aaron is a pleasure to watch and very talented. I absolutely believe that life is a use-it-or-lose-it commodity and disability shouldn't prevent people from enjoying their life.

Aaron was born with spina bifida, so he has been dealing with this his whole life.
