Relevant to note...this is a FRENCH cop...saw this live on TV, the way these cops tiptoed & danced around that day was comical despite the serious circumstances - quite the contrast to the charge-ahead smash-em-up american military style cops!

Nothing to laugh at, they're doing a very dangerous job.

Amazing! Fifteen people die, oh and three Morons and Snotr think it's cool to show what in other circumstances would be a funny video of policemen struggling to climb a hill. :S

Yeah... that's real life... people fall, miss, shit their pants etc. in such circumstances. Stop living in the movies. Nothing funny about it

Just try to walk with a 15kg armor and a heavy mask that only allows you to see about 90° in front of you, with a gun in one hand ... on a wet hill ... yep this is life ... life where there are bad people and nothing is like on TV shows ...

Well, it is a little funny exactly because it is so unlike in the movies (although real good movies do show non-superhuman moments like these) and because the first guy of all of them is struggling the most while the others behind him are like "Dude, time to roll... no time for backup!"

If tragic events like these are the end of situational comedy, the terrorists have officially won. Suffering creates a desire for humor. It's the most human thing about us. And it might be the most powerful tool we have along with music when confronted with discrimination, persecution and misery. Don't take my word for it, just ask the Jews. Why else would so many of the great comedians, musicians, filmmakers and artists be Jewish while they are such a relatively small group on a global scale. And don't give me that anti-Semitic propaganda like "Well they have all the money, so..."
It's a historically driven desire to deal with the most unbearable of all pasts, allowing the healing process to take place by humoring (or otherwise entertaining) one another. Even my own sense of humor took off to a whole new level since I had suicidal thoughts during a bad depression episode years ago. Nothing compares to it in my life so far and I would not trade that experience for a different one looking back now.

I don't think it is tasteless to see something funny in almost everything. We make jokes about being in prison all the time. Nothing funny about that either, in theory. Making fun of things we fear is a natural survival instinct, otherwise we would all be hurting or killing ourselves or others in a paranoid/panic attack every other day - which is essentially what humorless Islamists or other extremists do, because their religion/ideology/whatever does not allow for any form of joking around.

Alright, that was enough blow-hardy comment for me today.

in my grandma's funeral the power in the church went out, and most of us chuckled a bit as the priest had to drop the mic and speak out loud, which he did very well. It was a humorous moment on a sad day, so your words are very true, one should be able to smile and have fun of things, even in hard times. +1 from me, well said.

#12 For you to tell others what is funny or not funny is IMO not much better than the terrorists. Sure you're not shooting someone (that we know of!) but to tell someone what is appropriate as humor is pretty shameful. It's like telling someone who's cold they shouldn't be cold because you're not. GTFOOH

Looks funny, but isn't. Try to scale a hill with 30 kg gear and a Darth Vader helmet. BRIC did an amazing job in Paris. Merci beaucoup.
