aren't we past racism yet? It's only still an issue because the people who make clips like this want it to be.

The problem with this short film is that it was obvious five seconds in, what was going to happen. 8-)

i don't see racism, murder, violence or greediness around me, all i see is stupidity, narrow minded people with brains too small to fathom the universe around them

its 2015 ,
its time to grow up,
its time to evolve

#1 No, of course we're not past it. Look almost anywhere and people are hurting or killing each other because of skin colour. Your comment is wishful thinking, unfortunately. And to suggest the file maker made the clip because she *wants* racism to be an issue? You can't mean that.

#2 Not to me it wasn't. I thought he might be the surgeon. Obviously there had to be some positive message, but "donor" never crossed my mind.

#3 I don't understand what your comment means. You mean the recipient doesn't care where the organ came from? I'm not so sure. Maybe in most cases, but wouldn't there be people in (off the top of my head) the deep south of the USA who would literally rather die than have a black person's kidney?

#4 I take it that your devil smilie means that you're being deliberately provocative and don't mean only Greeks (though recent events in Greece with immigration and far right parties make them a good example), in which case I agree.

#5 Spot on...

#6 Skin color, if you think that people in this world, regardless of who they are, will move beyond their differences, in color, religion, sect, class levels, high white vs black, ethnics, culture, etc. etc. and the world will be a "wonderful place" you have your head so far up where the light does not shine it's pathetic. Who are typical middle class educated living in a Hollywood world that does not resemble real life. Go live in a poor neighborhood or the ethic districts in various cities and move beyond your "common core BS education". Better yet get a life in the real world and contribute rather than preach.

#7 Are you sure that you put in the correct hash tag? Did you mean me? What does "high white" even mean? Why "wonderful place" in quotation marks as if you're quoting me (the usual usage of quotation marks)? Same for "common core BS education" - I didn't say that and I don't know what it is. I haven't the faintest idea what your comments mean. Are you sober?
I don't have my head up my ass. I've tried. I can't reach.
And I don't preach. I comment.

In the sequel to this video, the family demand that the bone marrow is removed and a 'clean' one from a white person is used instead. Suddenly the black man tears off his shirt and mask to reveal that he is in fact..... white!

The doctor shouts: "Gotcha!" Everyone cheers, the father hugs the man, the mother sticks her tongue down his throat, and the daughter starts calling him 'uncle'. Hurrah!

And they all live happily ever after. :)

@6 ethically they don't do it I guess, to avoid the feeling of guilt for the recipient of the organs specially if he is already dead. usually with heart transfers but not sure

The largest % of Greeks are racist, but as a Greek myself, I don't care about Greeks as a whole. The largest % of Greeks are walking corpses that hopefully will die soon and leave us with handling the mess they created. What I'm interested in is the % of young or relatively young Greeks that are still racist. Unfortunately, it seems like a 50/50 situation. Quite sad... :(

#14 I'm intrigued (sadly). Why do you go out of your way to antagonise? I'm sure you'll repeat your mantra of "just saying it like I see it". I know there's a considerable intelligence in there somewhere, since many of your comments are lucid, reasonable and insightful, but why the insistence on ludicrously and unnecessarily provocative jibes? Not just this one, but in general. Why the negativity?
As it happens, I liked your comment #11, which was ironically apposite, but in deference to your desire not to be up- or downvoted I didn't push the button.
