:S Why they're trying to make it look like human? I mean the "face" is creepy as hell, why they don't just show the electronics and mechanics of this machine instead of those red glowing eyebrow/mouth and scary looking white baby face?

This does not even come close to the uncanny valley, the thing is indeed creepy as hell.

Well it learns to speak, it learns about it's surroundings. It also cross references what it knows and make deductions and can react to them.
It has 3 of the 5 human senses emulated.

It's not about what it looks but about what it's capable to do and to understand.
It's a really big improvement in AI cross deductions. It merges many works that were made those last years and need a really smaller space to work.
