The brush-cutter could use some longer bristles.

#6 The brush cutter is not using string , it looks to have a three-bladed brush blade which can cut heavier weeds and brush. When it first starts up you can see it looks like a propeller.

A more appropriate comparison would be to have scythe vs a combine. A weed eater is used to cut vegetation around curbs, trees, fence lines, etc, it is not the tool for clearing fields of brush. (Lets see how fast the scythe does the edging around a flower bed.)
