It's so moving to watch this guy experience color for the first time, I'm happy he finally gets to enjoy what we all enjoy every day, our colorful world.

#1 it makes you wonder how many layers and different perspectives of this world we are missing because we can't see, hear or feel them

I read about this in one of the newspapers...that was the first time he'd seen what colour his kids eyes were. That's pretty much enough to reduce any guy to tears.

I really need to get hold of a pair of those, and find out what I've been missing out on.

I have quite severe colour blindness, if you take the test on the Enchroma web site and you are not colour blind you won't see any issues with the test patterns and to answer #3's point, if you are not colour blind looking through the glasses won't look anything different from a pair of sunglasses with slightly different coloured lenses.

Please don't get the idea that the guy in the video can't see colour, he certainly can see colour unless he has an extremely rare neurological condition where no colour is seen at all, he can't have that as no form of lens would make any difference. The likelihood is that he has red/green colour blindness or one of the other spectrum forms none of which exclude your ability to see colour. What the condition does do is make it extremely difficult to differentiate between shades of different colours.

If the guys wife/girlfriend believes he hasn't seen his children's eyes before, I'm sorry but that's nonsense, he may not have seen them with quite the clarity as with the glasses but that's all. His green car would have looked green before but likely a different shade.

#6 from what I understand green and red are observed as different shades of grey, thus a red object could be hidden in the green grass from someone with color blindness.

#7 Different shades of grey for red and green with people with colour blindness is absolutely not how I would describe it. If you take grey in it's extreme as the colour of decay as in a really mouldy orange or banana, grey is seen as grey and would never be confused with red or green.

A red, blue, purple, orange or yellow object could be hidden in the grass and a none colour blind person would have great difficulty finding it too if the grass was very long and the field was ten acres square.

I don't know.. I take so many things for granted.

I know this has nothing to do with the video ( which I really enjoyed), and it may seem silly to some, but the fact how happy it makes me, that I got 20 upvotes, which only happened once before.
