Vintage video of workers trying to get to the oil fields, circa 1920's

1920's Dodge Brothers sedan drives down muddy roads and across muddy fields to get to the gushing oil well.
4 wheel drive would have been nice.

I'm wondering how they filmed this, did someone drive ahead of them with no car troubles? Those cars must have had amazing suspension driving this kind of terrain. Also nice music, overall an excellent video.

Those thinner tires did much better in the mud.
Our tires today last much longer, have a smoother ride, and are safer. But don't do well in mud.

#2 I would say they used the best offroad vehicle of the time... a horse :)
And also, u can kinda see why trains caught on... as they "more often" stayed on track :)

I'm honestly impressed how well that car handles deep mud. None of my cars would stand a chance I'm sure.
