I don't get it why bullying is such a problem in USA. In eastern Europe if someone called you names more than twice you could legally beat the shit out of him. If he was stronger, you would ask a brother or a friend to do it or a parent. I got bullied once and one cousin and his friends solved that problem for me forever. One good scare and afterwards the guy was quite polite to me.

"Legally" is the key word #6, here in schools there is a lot of underlying, subtle bullying going on, if you defend yourself with striking back, which I totally agree with you would solve the problem, then suddenly the one who was the victim and struck back is the "aggressor" and ends up in the principle's office or gets suspended. It's bizarre and unfair, but unfortunately that's how it is.
