It was probably fun the first day. Not fun after realizing this is his full-time job for the next 60 years.

You don't become this good at operating heavy machinery just because your working daddy lets you sit on his lap once in a while. This little guy seems to have the skills of a trained worker. It's impressive - but also very sad.

#1 Are you kidding me? I would've given an arm and a leg when I was little to be allowed to "play" with one of these... :)

#2 I think you're exaggerating. Kids are ridiculous, they can learn things insanely quick. They play games that a lot of adults need to look up guides on what to do. Im sure that this is just a game to him and he just taught himself while watching his dad. He might be able to operate it really well but I dont think he fully understands what he's doing and how dangerous it is. To him its just: "Im making the cool big thing move like daddy does."

These things are actually pretty easy to handle because you don't have to use a clutch and change gears. I drove tractors when i was about the same age at it was a bitch to change gears when you're too small to reach the pedals while sitting down. It was not as #2 suggested as actual work. It was just for fun for me. My brother helped out with pretty advanced field work when he was 7 because he loved doing it. He still loves it now close to 40 years later.
