#2 Copyright is actually the reason why people innovate. For example you create a product like a gaming app and now ea comes and steals your idea. You spend a year actually programming this game. Would you do this if you know that your intellectual property isnt save?
... Yes obviously not.

#3 there is a thin line after which copyright becomes more of a limitation than a tool for protecting intellectual property
like for example:
"youtube’s automated takedown tool claims purring cat is stealing content ( copyrighted material belonging to EMI Music Publishing )"
there are also "aggressive copyright owners" who abuse the law and sue for "lawful fair use", and that is what some of them do for living ( buying material, patrolling the web and suing http://www.nytimes.com/2011/05/03/business/media/03righthaven.html )

#3 you have that and you have the copy right of adding some chocolate chips to a cookie and branding it a new and buying the rights to be the only producer of this new cookie and starting a law suit on anyone adding chocolate to any kinda cookie.
look at copy rights in fashion industry. they have it right, you are allowed to copy everything, except the brand if i remember it right: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zL2FOrx41N0
for your example, usually when you do program something ( game or software ) it needs some help getting attention to find customers. so either its so new and good that it hasn't been around before and now everybody needs it, or some big company who sees how it can be something good and new and buy it from you or buy you in to their company to make it go further. if none of these, there is a chance you've created something new which no one needs and notices and it stays on your network alone till something better comes along.

One of the reasons to the low prices is the low salaries. A hundred million (?) with almost no hope of a decent life. And you enforce that when you don't buy products with decent prices.

#3 exactly what happened to Crytek, the makers of Crysis. In its time one of the best games, if not the best. Copied illegally so often, that Crytek never recovered and is close to bankruptcy.
The countries with a patent law have more innovation than those without by a landslide...

#12 Or you are just crap at using sarcasm in text form right One important thing with sarcasm is the tone of voice..since comments are just text..you might use words in another way to make others spot the sarcasm =)
Sarcasm 101: If you arent sure that the sarcasm will be spotted, dont be sarcastic in comments. Example:
You are the most loved user on every website!
A) Truth
B) Lie
C) Joke
D) Sarcastic
E) Irony (because not everyone knows the difference)
F) Huh? I dont get it...
Up to you how to take this statement. =)

#12 we didn't recognize fine layers of sarcasm in this video, because this is the first time most of us see an iphone 0:36 or iwatch 0:14
we also don't read the news http://www.bbc.com/news/business-32316865
