I get the lesson. And i get, that it is somewhat of a good idea.
But what basically happend: "Dad let son get beaten up bloody for beeing a bully".
Ever heared about the solution of talking to a child? Dont have to give them a bloddy nose.

#1 He's not a child anymore, he's fuckin' 6ft tall... he should know better.
He got beaten up pretty bad, though... :|

#1 Sometimes it takes that to get their attention. Then they might listen in the future.
My son used to spar with Arturo Gatti and Curtis Bush and some other pro fighters and if he got a little cocky
in the ring they would teach him to show respect for the other guy. Bruised and bloody works
sometimes.

Interesting that when your child misbehaves at home you are not allowed to chastise him or her in a lot of countries and in schools corporal punishment was abolished in the late 1970's :(|)

#1 You know that the only language a bully understands is violence? Try to talk to one. Slap a mind in him..then talk and reason..doesnt work the other way around (sure with therapy there is a way..but who got the money..and try to get a bully into therapy..sometimes the hard lesson is the right way)..isnt there a saying?
There is always someone bigger, better and meaner then you..

Little game..try a transcript for what the boxer said to the kid..1..2..go

He needs to point his feet to the target. That would make it a bit more easy for him. But getting hit takes some time to get used to.

I felt a little bad for him too, but then like everyone is saying, sometimes this is what it takes to cure a bully, and who knows how many times he has bullied others and hurt them, now he knows what they felt like. Now, there is another type of bullying especially among women, that can almost be worse, such as gossiping, teasing, withholding help, and verbal down talking..can be difficult to deal with.

Methinks #1 has no children or very young children currently.

I was bullied a heck of a lot at school, mostly by smaller guys who thought they were better than the 6ft 3" skinny as hell kid facing them that didn't like to fight..unless it couldn't be avoided. So..getting fed up with it I got the sports master to arrange a series of fights..to be held one after another ( it never got that far) after I'd literally flattened the first two (the second one figured the first fight as a fluke) I never had a problem again.

Interesting #10, because I also got bullied by guys who were much shorter and weaker than me, I was very tall for a girl then and pretty strong. I could have easily punched them and knocked them down, but unfortunately I never did. I wished my story would have ended like yours.

#10 #12 An ancient samurai rule : "Victory without fighting is the key to confrontation, If you are drwan into a battle walk away. If you are not alowed to leave, then fight without fighting. Defend yourself as opposed to mopunting an offense. Be like a river, floating powerfull to its destination. Encountering obstacles like rocks, but natturally flowing around them"

And another. "Take down the oponent before he breaths out the air he took after seeing the white of his eyes, or walk away."

That sounds really cool, and I agree #13, but I think that's a skill that takes time to perfect, and in the meantime you have to use other means, maybe fighting correctly and fair should be a class in school. That would cut down on the bullying and kids would learn to be more respectful to each other. Just a thought.

#14 Yeah, a honest fight solves a lot of problems, and in a way by not kicking when someone is down, and release when someone taps out.

Those "pro boxers" should go to a kyokushin dojo to feel the real pain! ;)
